A leading company is seeking a Senior NDT Engineer for a 24-month contract in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, multiple years of NDT experience, and strong knowledge of applicable codes. This role will involve ensuring safety compliance, reviewing NDT procedures, and managing quality assurance during fabrication stages.

Qualifications

  • 12+ years of experience in NDT, with at least 5 years as Level III.
  • Experience in Oil & Gas / EPC / Fabrication sectors preferred.
  • Language preference: English.

Job description

We are looking for a Senior NDT Engineer (QC) for one of our clients with the following details :

Intended Start Date : 2025-06-20

Contract Duration : 24 Months

Qualification and Experience Required :

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical / metallurgical engineering or related discipline.
  • ADNOC Project experience is preparable
  • 12+ years of experience / major : Mechanical Engineering
  • Language Preference : English

Other requirement

  • ASNT NDT Level III certification in at least four major methods (RT, UT, MT & PT) with minimum 12 years of experience in NDT with at least 5 years as Level III in the Oil & Gas / EPC / Fabrication sectors.
  • Should have CSWIP / PCN Level 2 in PAUT & ToFD.
  • Strong knowledge of applicable codes and standards, experience in developing NDT procedures and managing multi-disciplinary NDT teams.

Services Description

  • Review and approve NDT procedures and techniques for all the applicable methods in line with project specification and international standards.
  • Ensure proper interpretation of NDT results during the fabrication stages and approve accordingly.
  • Liaise with company inspectors and auditors on all NDT-related matters.
  • Prepare and maintain necessary documentation for audits, including equipment calibration certificates, and personnel qualifications, and welding repair rate.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and failure investigations involving NDT.
  • Ensure safety compliance in all NDT operations on-site and off-site.
  • Support QA / QC department in the implementation of quality management system (QMS) requirements related to inspection.
