Job summary

The Energy Shift in the UAE seeks a Senior Mortgage Documentation Specialist to manage and review mortgage documentation throughout the financing process. You will ensure files are complete, accurate, and compliant with UAE banking regulations and internal policies, coordinating with credit, legal, and operations teams.

This senior role requires keen attention to detail, strong documentation skills, and the ability to drive processes across mortgage registration, valuation, and disbursement

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Banking, Finance, Business Administration, Law, or a related discipline.
• 5–8 years of experience in mortgage documentation, retail lending operations, home finance, or banking documentation.
• Strong understanding of mortgage processing, loan documentation, collateral requirements, and property financing procedures.
• Familiarity with UAE banking practices, mortgage registration procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Experience reviewing facility agreements, mortgage contracts, title deeds, valuation reports, and customer due diligence documents.
• Knowledge of KYC, AML, customer verification, data protection, and internal lending controls.
• Experience coordinating with credit, legal, operations, relationship management, and property registration teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with loan origination systems, document management platforms, and banking applications.
• Strong document review, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Review, prepare, verify, and process mortgage documentation for residential and commercial property financing.
• Ensure applications and supporting documents are complete and aligned with approved credit terms.
• Verify identification, income docs, property details, title deeds, and valuation reports.
• Coordinate with managers, credit, legal, operations, and external service providers to obtain documents.
• Prepare and review mortgage offers, facility agreements, security documents, consent forms, and related paperwork.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and UAE regulatory requirements.
• Monitor files from application through disbursement and registration.
• Identify discrepancies and resolve documentation risks promptly.
• Coordinate valuation, title verification, mortgage registration, and related procedures.
• Verify pre-disbursement conditions before funds release.
• Maintain accurate records and document tracking systems.
• Support quality assurance, audits, and regulatory inspections.
• Monitor turnaround times and follow up on pending cases.
• Provide guidance to junior staff and review their work.
