Senior Middleware Administrator

Job Purpose

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain middleware components such as WebLogic, JBoss, Apache, Tomcat, or other enterprise-grade middleware platforms.
• Monitor middleware performance and ensure high availability and reliability of all environments.
• Perform regular upgrades, patching, and configuration changes in coordination with infrastructure and security teams.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to application deployments, middleware performance, and system integration.
• Work closely with development and DevOps teams to support CI/CD pipelines and application releases.
• Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, procedures, and service-level agreements.
• Ensure compliance with internal security and operational policies and participate in audits when required.
• Participate in disaster recovery planning and execution for middleware services.

Candidate Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in middleware administration in enterprise environments.
• Hands-on experience with middleware platforms such as Oracle WebLogic, OSB, Apache Tomcat, IBM WebSphere, Linux/Unix, ELK, and OpenShift.
• Strong understanding of Linux/UNIX environments and shell scripting.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage complex technical tasks.
