Job summary
idctechnologies in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, is seeking an experienced Microsoft Fabric Data Engineer to lead enterprise data solutions and migrations within a modern data platform environment.
The role demands hands-on expertise with Fabric components and Azure data services, along with a focus on data governance, security, and scalable ETL/ELT processes. DP-700 certification is a plus, and candidates must currently reside in the UAE.
Qualifications
- 5–8 years of experience in data engineering and/or data architecture.
- Recent hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric is required.
- Strong experience with Fabric OneLake, Lakehouse, Warehouse and Data Factory.
- Experience with Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, ADLS Gen2 and Azure SQL.
- Proficient in PySpark and SQL; ETL/ELT development.
- Knowledge of Medallion Architecture and Power BI semantic modeling.
- Experience with on-premises and cloud data migration.
- DP-700 certification preferred; UAE location required.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop enterprise data solutions using Microsoft Fabric.
- Work with Fabric OneLake, Lakehouse, Warehouse, and Data Factory.
- Develop and maintain ETL/ELT data pipelines.
- Implement data transformations with PySpark and SQL.
- Apply Medallion Architecture to enterprise data platforms.
- Ensure data governance and security across platforms.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements.
