Job summary

PalladiumHR Consultants is recruiting on behalf of a Dubai-based main contractor for a Senior MEP Technical Coordinator cum Materials Engineer (Mechanical). You will lead MEP submittals, material approvals and consultant coordination on major building projects.

The ideal candidate holds a Mechanical Engineering degree, UAE technical office exposure, and a track record of obtaining approvals while coordinating with consultants, clients, and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Proven UAE experience in a technical office or main/MEP contractor.
• Experience with submittals, material engineering and approvals.
• Familiarity with ASHRAE, NFPA, SMACNA and UAE Fire & Life Safety Code.

Responsibilities

• Review and coordinate MEP shop drawings, submittals, and technical documentation.
• Prepare, submit and track RFIs and material approvals.
• Obtain consultant and client approvals.
• Resolve engineering and design issues with consultants, clients and project teams.

Senior MEP Technical Coordinator / Materials Engineer (Mechanical)

Dubai, UAE | Main Contractor | AED 15,000 – 17,000 per month | Immediate joining preferred

We are recruiting on behalf of an established construction main contractor in the UAE for a Senior MEP Technical Coordinator cum Materials Engineer. You’ll lead MEP technical submittals, material approvals and consultant coordination on major building projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and coordinate MEP shop drawings, material submittals, method statements and technical documentation
• Prepare, submit and track technical submissions, RFIs and material approval requests through to approval
• Get material, technical and engineering approvals from Consultants and Clients
• Resolve engineering and design-related issues with Consultants, Clients and internal project teams
• Ensure compliance with UAE authority requirements, standards and approval procedures (Dubai Municipality, Dubai Civil Defence, DEWA)
• Coordinate between the technical office, site execution, design and procurement for HVAC, plumbing, drainage and fire fighting systems

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Proven UAE experience in a technical office, submittals or materials engineering role with a main contractor or MEP contractor
• Strong understanding of MEP systems, especially mechanical materials, equipment and installations (chillers, AHUs, FCUs, pumps, ductwork, piping, fire protection)
• Track record of obtaining consultant and client approvals and handling technical queries
• Good working knowledge of mechanical design and engineering software such as AutoCAD, Revit MEP, HAP or Navisworks
• Familiarity with ASHRAE, NFPA, SMACNA and the UAE Fire & Life Safety Code
• Strong communication and coordination skills
• Immediate availability or short notice period strongly preferred
