Job summary

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor's in mechanical or electrical engineering, has 5–7 years in MEP with at least 3 years in interior fit-out, and is proficient in AutoCAD and Revit, with knowledge of DEWA and related authority processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• 5–7 years in MEP engineering with at least 3 years in interior fit-out.
• Experience with HVAC, lighting, power, fire fighting/alarm, plumbing, and ELV systems.
• Proficient in reading MEP drawings and using AutoCAD; Revit preferred.
• Familiar with DEWA/DM/SEWA/DCD approval processes.

Responsibilities

• Review project drawings and specs to understand MEP requirements.
• Coordinate with architects, designers, structural engineers, and subcontractors.
• Prepare or review MEP shop drawings, submittals, load calculations, and layouts.
• Supervise site installations for quality, safety, and design compliance.
• Manage subcontractors and suppliers for timely execution.
• Attend coordination meetings and resolve clashes between MEP and architectural elements.
• Ensure MEP works meet local codes and client requirements.
• Participate in testing, commissioning, and handover of MEP systems.
• Maintain documentation: progress reports, RFI/inspection requests, snag lists.
