JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Summary

The Mechanical Technician should be able to complete assigned jobs & tasks given by the supervisor within the required time frame. They should be able to read and interpret technical drawings, determine the appropriate assembly tools and techniques to use, and complete the job as per the specifications in the Work Order package. The technician should actively participate in manufacturing and commissioning, contributing to the timely completion of tasks in a safe environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

1. Review and understand the Work Order (WO) for the assigned job.
2. Plan the sequence of necessary actions for completing the job.
3. Assemble the job according to the specifications in the Work Order package.
4. Update and maintain documents required for relevant work orders.
5. Notify the supervisor of any mistakes or required as-built changes.
6. Conduct hydrostatic tests or FAT of completed jobs, if authorized, at designated areas.
7. Maintain tools and equipment in good condition at all times.
8. Report immediately to the cell leader any machine problems or accidents.
9. Maintain high standards of housekeeping in the workshop as per 5S principles.
10. Comply with all NOV Company and HSE procedures and policies.
11. Perform any tasks or duties as requested by the cell leader.
12. Be available for field service trips and other activities as required by management.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE :

Essential :

• Basic knowledge of assembly techniques and tools.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Mechanical Technician.
• Ability to read and understand hydraulic schematics, electrical schematics, and engineering drawings.
• Fluent in English, both verbal and written.

Desirable :

• Technical training certificate.
• High school diploma.
• Experience in mechanical installation.
• Familiarity with NOV K-Winch, WPCE, and WHE products.
