JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Summary

The Mechanical Technician should be able to complete assigned jobs and tasks within the required time frame. He should be capable of reading and interpreting technical drawings, determining appropriate assembly tools and techniques to meet specifications as per the Work Order package. The technician should actively participate in manufacturing and commissioning processes, contributing to the timely completion of tasks in a safe environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Review and understand the Work Order (WO) for assigned jobs.
2. Plan the sequence of actions necessary to complete each job.
3. Assemble according to specifications provided in the Work Order package.
4. Update and maintain documentation related to work orders.
5. Notify the supervisor of any errors or required as-built changes.
6. Conduct hydrostatic tests or Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) on completed jobs, if authorized, at designated areas.
7. Maintain tools and equipment in good condition.
8. Report machine problems or accidents immediately to the cell leader.
9. Maintain high standards of housekeeping in the workshop following 5S principles.
10. Follow all NOV Company and HSE procedures and policies.
11. Perform any additional tasks as requested by the cell leader.
12. Be available for field service trips and other activities as required by management.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Essential:

• Basic knowledge of assembly techniques and tools.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Mechanical Technician.
• Ability to read and understand hydraulic schematics, electrical schematics, and engineering drawings.
• Fluent in English (both verbal and written).

Desirable:

• Technical training certificate.
• High school diploma.
• Experience in mechanical installation.
• Familiarity with NOV K-Winch, WPCE, and WHE products.
