The Senior Mechanical Technician will provide hands-on technical support for static equipment operating across ADNOC Offshore facilities. The role covers routine maintenance, shutdowns, integrity inspections, pressure testing, troubleshooting, commissioning, startup, and project handover activities. The position requires strong practical knowledge of pressure-retaining systems and the ability to identify deterioration such as corrosion, leakage, cracking, deformation, flange defects, and other mechanical abnormalities. Accurate execution of maintenance and inspection work helps protect equipment integrity, reduce unplanned downtime, and support safe offshore production. As a senior technical resource, the technician will also guide junior personnel in static equipment handling, safe maintenance practices, inspection methods, and correct use of tools and procedures.
The position requires a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related mechanical discipline. Candidates should have at least 5-7 years of mechanical maintenance experience covering static and rotating equipment, with substantial hands‑on exposure to Oil and Gas operating facilities. Experience with shutdowns, integrity inspections, commissioning, startup, and equipment handover activities is important. The successful candidate should have strong practical knowledge of vessels, heat exchangers, tanks, columns, piping, pressure‑retaining systems, flange management, gasket replacement, hydrotesting, and mechanical repairs. Candidates must be able to interpret mechanical drawings, piping isometrics, and P and IDs accurately. Familiarity with predictive maintenance methods such as basic vibration monitoring, thermography, temperature measurement, and leak detection will be valuable. Experience using a CMMS is required, with MAXIMO experience strongly preferred. The role also requires good knowledge of Permit to Work, LOTO, confined space entry, SIMOPS, hazard identification, and other industrial safety systems. Strong English communication, teamwork, technical judgment, mentoring ability, and practical problem‑solving skills are essential.
