Job summary

Saint-Gobain Group in the United States is seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Technician for a manufacturing plant in Moundsville, West Virginia. The role focuses on maintaining rotating equipment, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, and precision alignments to ensure smooth plant operation.

You will work with CMMS, read mechanical drawings, and perform minor fabrication as needed. The position requires 6-8 years of experience, a Diploma/ITI, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• 6-8 years of experience in mechanical maintenance of manufacturing plant.
• Diploma / ITI in Mechanical Engineering is a must.
• Exposure to heavy engineering/continuous process plants like Cement, Steel, Ceramics, Gypsum or Glass Mfg. sector
• Exposure to safety and work permit system. Able to manage the contractor management system.
• Experience in working with Pneumatic and Hydraulic system and controls.
• Experience in precision measurements and alignments.
• Ability to handle minor fabrication tasks
• Exposure to WCM/TPM will be added advantage.
• Exposure to an in-house project will be added advantage.
• Good communication & writing skills in English.
• Skills : Ability to read and understand mechanical drawing at a detailed level

Responsibilities

• Maintain rotating equipment like Crushers, Mixers, Dryer/ Ovens, Blowers/Fans, Material handling equipment like Hoppers Feeder, Silos, Bucket elevators, Screw, Belt, Rollers & Chains Conveyers etc.
• Working with Pneumatic and Hydraulic system and controls.
• Maintenance of Screws and centrifugal Pumps, Chillers and piping
• Maintenance of Gas burner, Vertical Mills and Compressor /Air Dryer
• Precision measurements and alignments.
• Using the CMMS system.
• Ensure plant is running in smooth condition to achieve Technical Reliability, budgeted Yield, and Availability.
• Work to eliminate breakdowns and complete all Planned/Unplanned maintenance tasks.
• Ability to handle minor fabrication tasks
• To maintain good and safe engineering practices at all times.
• Work in the General shift and required to come in shifts whenever required.
