Penspen Ltd in Abu Dhabi seeks an experienced Superintendent, Construction - Mechanical (Shutdown) to lead mechanical, piping and equipment overhaul activities during planned plant turnarounds in the oil and gas sector. The role requires deep experience with shutdowns and tight schedules.

Applicants must hold a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering with 15–20+ years in oil & gas site construction, including ADNOC projects, and familiarity with ASME B31.3, API 650, and ASME Section IX.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
• 15–20+ years of oil & gas site construction experience.
• Experience with ADNOC projects and CICPA passes.
• Familiar with ASME B31.3, API 650, and ASME Section IX.

Responsibilities

• Lead site construction teams, contractors, and subcontractors through tight shutdown and turnaround schedules.
• Supervise rotating machinery, static equipment, process piping, and HVAC overhauls.
• Enforce strict HSE standards, permit-to-work protocols, and ITP/QCP compliance.
• Coordinate inspection walkdowns, pressure testing, pre-commissioning, and punch-list closures.
• Resolve technical queries and interface with client engineering and vendor teams.
