Job Purpose
Oversee and lead mechanical maintenance tasks using skills in online and outage work scope strategies on safety and non-safety related Systems, Structures, and Components such as pumps, valves, HVAC, chillers, heat exchangers, and EDG. Ensure effective maintenance of the plant to achieve high equipment reliability and performance. Participate in diagnosis and work planning to facilitate a strong mechanical maintenance program.

Mechanical Maintenance
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Lead teams and perform mechanical maintenance activities to ensure timely, quality job completion, operational readiness, and high safety and reliability standards.
- Perform planned and corrective maintenance and surveillances on mechanical plant systems, structures, and components, including NSSS equipment (reactors, steam generators, fuel handling, HVAC, heat exchangers, pumps, EDG, DG, cranes, valves, chillers, supports) and BOP equipment (pumps, valves, radwaste, chillers, engines).
- Prepare and stage maintenance work, including procurement requests for spare parts and tools.
- Attend pre- and post-job briefings, oversee maintenance tasks, and ensure compliance with standards and procedures.
- Document equipment history after maintenance activities.
- Conduct tests to verify system performance or identify issues.
- Update equipment and material data in the management system for accuracy.
- Follow safety procedures and guidelines to ensure plant safety and reliability.
- Perform troubleshooting on mechanical systems and components.
- Manage clearances for maintenance work.
Staff Training and Qualification
- Implement management expectations for maintenance conduct, ensuring safety and reliability.
- Coach maintenance personnel to enhance training effectiveness.
- Evaluate training programs and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
Outage and Emergency Response Organization (ERO) Support
- Support outage and ERO activities to maintain safe, reliable operations, including shift and off-hours support.
Operational Planning
- Contribute to developing departmental processes and work instructions.
- Identify opportunities for practice improvements to boost productivity and efficiency.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting.

Qualifications
- High School diploma
- 5 years of relevant experience
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- 5 years of nuclear power plant operating experience, with at least 3 years in the mechanical field
