Job summary

EDGE Group in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Mechanical Integration Engineer for Pulse Nova to design, develop, and validate mechanical components and mounting structures for radar, EW, C2, and sensor systems on naval, ground, and airborne platforms.

You will prepare 3D CAD models and manufacturing drawings, perform interface analyses, and lead hardware installation activities while coordinating with technicians and supporting environmental testing.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ years of 3D mechanical design and integration experience on vehicles, vessels, or aircraft.
• Hands-on prototyping with 3D printing and fit checks.
• Familiarity with MIL-STD-810G environmental standards.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD tools such as Siemens NX or SolidWorks; experience with Ansys.
• Hands-on installation tooling, torque specs, and workmanship standards.
• Willingness to travel to integration and test sites, including desert/field campaigns and naval facilities.

Responsibilities

• Design and validate 3D mechanical parts, assemblies, and structures to integrate radar, EW, C2, and sensors onto naval, ground-vehicle, and airborne/UAS platforms.
• Design equipment mounts, support structures, and protective enclosures per MIL-STD-810G requirements.
• Perform mechanical interface analysis: weight and footprint budgets, power consumption, cooling, and vibration/shock loading per platform.
• Prepare 3D CAD models, detailed manufacturing drawings, and installation drawings.
• Lead and support the physical installation of hardware on each platform, coordinating with installation technicians.
• Support mechanical checks and tests and troubleshooting of electromechanical issues during integration and trials.
• Support environmental and qualification testing (vibration, shock, ingress protection, thermal).
