Job summary

Emirates Electrical & Instrumentation Company in Abu Dhabi seeks a Lead Mechanical MEP and HVAC engineer to drive engineering delivery across the project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with approved scope, quality requirements, and TAQA engineering standards.

You will review HVAC calculations, select equipment, develop duct layouts and chilled water systems, supervise installation, testing, commissioning, and coordinate interfaces with electrical, instrumentation, civil, structural, plumbing,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 8–12 years in mechanical MEP/HVAC for industrial or energy projects.
• TAQA project experience is mandatory.
• Familiarity with ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA and TAQA requirements.
• Knowledge of ventilation, ductwork, chilled water systems, and load calculations.
• Experience with technical submittals, shop drawings, and vendor documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical MEP and HVAC engineering delivery across the project lifecycle.
• Ensure compliance with TAQA standards, environmental, operational, reliability requirements.
• Review HVAC calculations and equipment selection.
• Coordinate with TAQA representatives and stakeholders on clarifications.
• Review and coordinate drawings, submittals, datasheets, and vendor docs before client submission.
• Supervise installation, inspection, testing, commissioning per approved procedures.
• Coordinate interfaces with electrical, instrumentation, civil, structural, plumbing and fire protection disciplines.
• Attend technical and progress meetings and support client handover.

8 12 years of relevant mechanical MEP / HVAC experience in industrial construction or energy and utilities projects.

TAQA project experience is mandatory.

Familiarity with applicable ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA and project-specific requirements.

Knowledge of ventilation, ductwork, chilled water systems, equipment selection and load calculations.

Technical submittals, shop drawings, material approvals, vendor documentation and site execution.

Understanding of TAQA project execution, documentation, inspection, testing, quality and handover requirements.
