Overview

We are seeking an experienced and technically proficient Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Dubai and support a major airport project in the region. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in MEP construction supervision, strong leadership skills, and the ability to ensure project delivery in compliance with design standards, specifications, and international best practices.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor all mechanical aspects of on-site construction activities to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, codes, and quality requirements.
• Manage and coordinate day-to-day site works with contractors, reporting progress, risks, and issues to the Resident Engineer and project management team.
• Review and approve method statements, material submittals, shop drawings, and as-built documentation.
• Lead, mentor, and guide a team of engineers and inspectors, delegating responsibilities effectively to meet project timelines.
• Participate in progress and coordination meetings, providing technical input and ensuring timely resolution of site-related issues.
• Oversee implementation of QA/QC processes for all mechanical works.
• Support testing and commissioning activities, ensuring all systems are installed, tested, and operated per specifications.
• Ensure proper documentation of site activities, inspections, and issue resolutions.
• Promote and enforce safety standards and compliance with site regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s degree is an advantage).
• Minimum 15 years of total experience, with at least 5 years in airport-related projects.
• Proven track record in construction supervision, particularly within MEP works on large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of local and international mechanical codes and standards.
• Prior UAE/GCC experience is required.
• Experience in leading engineering teams and coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
• Familiarity with BIM workflows and Aconex for project documentation.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office tools.
• Excellent command of English (written and spoken).
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
