Job Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage the installation testing and commissioning of mechanical systems including HVAC plumbing and fire fighting at site.
- Review mechanical drawings technical submittals and shop drawings to ensure compliance with project specifications and design intent.
- Coordinate with consultants contractors and other engineering disciplines to ensure smooth site and resolve technical issues.
- Monitor daily site activities ensure work is executed as per approved method statements and ensure safety and quality standards are maintained.
- Attend project coordination meetings site inspections and testing activities with consultants clients and authorities.
- Verify material deliveries and ensure they are in accordance with approved material submittals and project requirements.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure progress and workmanship meet required standards and project timelines.
- Prepare daily weekly and monthly progress reports and maintain records of site activities and inspections.
- Support project closeout activities including testing commissioning snagging and preparation of asbuilt documentation.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum of 10 years of site experience in mechanical works within the construction industry ideally in the UAE or GCC.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC plumbing and fire fighting systems including installation testing and commissioning practices.
- Familiarity with GCC construction codes ASHRAE standards and local authority regulations (e.g. DM ADDC DEWA Civil Defense).
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings schematics and specifications.
- Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail in a fastpaced construction environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic AutoCAD; working knowledge of project tracking and reporting tools is a plus.
