Overview

One Works is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer with strong construction supervision expertise to join our team in our Dubai-office and support a high-profile airport project in the region. The successful candidate will oversee on-site MEP construction activities and ensure the contractor\'s work complies with design specifications, industry standards, and project requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage on-site MEP construction activities for the project and verify contractor performance aligns with design specifications and project requirements.
• Coordinate with design teams, contractors, and stakeholders to resolve issues and maintain project schedules.
• Lead site-based engineering activities and provide guidance to junior engineers and inspectors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline; Master’s degree is a plus.
• Minimum 15 years of total experience in mechanical engineering, including at least 5 years in airport projects.
• Proven experience in construction supervision and site-based roles, specifically within the MEP domain.
• Previous experience in leading engineering teams and coordinating with multiple stakeholders on large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Solid understanding of local and international mechanical codes and standards.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to guide junior engineers and inspectors.
• UAE/GCC experience required.
• Familiarity with BIM workflows is advantageous.
• Familiarity with Aconex for project documentation and correspondence, and proficient AutoCAD skills.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English.
• Ability to join within 1 month or less.
