We are seeking a passionate and driven Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our award-winning Sustainable Engineering Department in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sustainability and a willingness to work across multiple disciplines and industries to promote sustainable development.

The successful candidate will be part of AESG's dynamic Sustainable Engineering team based in Dubai. Responsibilities include designing, developing, and testing mechanical systems and components across various projects involving mechanical design, analysis, prototyping, and manufacturing support.

Candidate Profile:

• Support and guide junior team members in technical and project issues

• Experience with LEED-certified or other building certification projects and a strong understanding of building systems performance

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage mechanical engineering projects from concept to completion, ensuring sustainability and digitalisation standards
• Act as a key client contact as an MEP lead engineer, overseeing technical and commercial project delivery
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
• Develop in-house systems and workflows focusing on automated design using Dynamo, Python, or similar tools
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, and contractors to meet project requirements
• Utilize Revit to create and manage mechanical models and drawings
• Stay updated on industry trends related to sustainable mechanical engineering and digitalisation
• Possess strong knowledge of Revit software
• Understand project commercial control, resource planning, and project management
• Demonstrate strong leadership and project management skills
• Have a solid understanding of sustainable engineering principles and practices
• Be familiar with UAE and regional building codes

Essential Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; postgraduate education (e.g., Masters) is desirable
• Minimum 6 years of mechanical engineering experience in UAE and KSA, focusing on sustainability and digitalisation
• Experience with LEED or similar building certification projects and understanding of building system performance
• Professional qualifications and experience with sustainability rating systems such as USGBC LEED, Mostadam, or Passive House
• Proven track record in leading sustainability programs, policies, and regulatory frameworks
• Proficiency in software platforms including Revit and IES
