Job summary

Marine Capabilities (Marcap) LLC is seeking an experienced Marine Technical Manager to lead the technical department, ensure safety and efficiency of the fleet, and drive projects from concept to completion. You will mentor engineers, establish policies, and coordinate audits to maintain compliance with industry standards.

The role requires a deep Marine Engineering background, 10+ years in marine technical ops, and a proven track record in PMS and budgeting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years in marine technical operations with 5+ years in management.
• Deep understanding of marine systems safety and regulations.
• Strong PM skills and proven leadership capability.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• 5+ years of experience with PMS and project budgeting.
• Experience on DP2 vessels.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven risk assessment, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical department providing direction and mentorship to engineers and technical staff.
• Develop and implement technical policies and procedures compliant with standards and regulations.
• Oversee maintenance and repair activities for all marine vessels for safety and performance.
• Conduct audits and evaluations of technical operations with recommendations.
• Engage with clients, contractors and regulatory bodies as the primary technical contact.
• Drive technical projects from inception to completion, coordinating schedules, resources, and budgets.
• Keep upper management informed on audit findings, project status and issues.
• Stay updated on technological advancements to elevate operations.
• Foster safety and continuous professional development through team training.
