Job summary

Elliott in Abu Dhabi is seeking a seasoned machinist to perform complex setups and machine a variety of components on diverse machine tools. You will lay out machining operations from prints or verbal instructions with limited supervision and maintain top safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities include operating horizontal/vertical lathes, mills, grinders, and more, reading drawings precisely, and training peers. This is an on-site role at KEZAD Free Zone, Abu Dhabi.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalency.
• 5-8 years’ experience with rotating turbo machinery.
• Advanced rigging capabilities.
• Advanced machining capabilities on manual lathes.
• Experience with turbines, compressors and other rotating equipment.

Responsibilities

• Promotes safety and quality at all times.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Conducts himself in a professional manner with internal and external customers.
• Performs complex machining operations across various machines (turning, boring, milling, drilling, etc.).
• Read and comprehend drawings, job scopes, and verbal instructions.
• Train other employees in operation of equipment and reading prints.
• Document actions by completing production and quality logs.
