Elliott Group in Abu Dhabi is seeking a skilled Manual Machinist to perform complex setups and machine components on a range of tools, with a focus on turbomachinery. You will read drawings, select tooling, and work to tight tolerances in a full-time on-site role at KEZAD Free Zone Repair Facility.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalency.
• 5–8 years of experience with rotating turbo machinery.
• Advanced rigging capabilities.
• Advanced machining capabilities on manual lathes.
• Experiences with turbines, compressors and other rotating equipment.

Responsibilities

• Promotes safety and quality at all times.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Conducts himself in a professional manner with internal and external customers.
• Operate multiple machine tools including horizontal and vertical lathes, layout machines, vertical boring mills, horizontal mills, grinders, deburring tools, fixtures, radial and angular drill press, forklifts, cranes and various forms of rigging.
• Read and comprehend drawings, sketches, job scopes, and verbal instructions.
• Performs most complex setups and machine tool operations: turning, boring, facing, milling, drilling, reaming, tapping, sawing, slotting, grooving, grinding.
• Maintains equipment by completing basic preventive maintenance and reporting issues.
• Accurately measure and record dimensional inspections as needed and pass annual tests.
• Complete layouts of most parts and train others in operation and tooling.
