Job summary

Al Jomaih Energy and Water seeks a finance professional to develop and audit complex financial models for international power, desalination, and renewable projects. You will lead due diligence, risk analysis, and deal structuring while coordinating with credit, legal, and management teams.

The role requires a graduate degree in finance or economics, 7+ years of relevant experience, and a track record with IPPs, utilities, or investment banks in the MENA region.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in finance, economics, or a quantitative field.
• 7+ years of experience in financial modeling and transactional roles in energy, water, or renewables.
• Experience with a leading IPP, utility, renewable developer, or investment bank.
• Experience in the MENA region preferred.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and audit complex financial models for international power, desalination, and renewable projects.
• Perform due diligence, risk analysis, and mitigation strategies for debt, equity, and guarantees.
• Manage internal approval processes involving credit, legal, and management teams.
• Ensure appropriate legal documentation and timely financial close for all deals.
• Support the structuring of Power Purchase Agreements and M&A transactions with third-party investors and lenders.
• Collaborate with Development, EPC, and Interconnection teams.
• Review project documents for commercial and contractual implications regarding financing structures.
• Optimize project tax structures and implement accounting requirements in models.
• Engage with banks to support financing relationships and negotiations.
