Job summary

ADIB Group in Abu Dhabi seeks a Manager to lead Model Governance & Validation within Group Risk Management. The role focuses on independent validation of risk models, including trading, market and credit models, with oversight of regulatory frameworks and internal governance.

The candidate will develop statistical tools (SAS/Python/R) and produce validation reports for senior management and auditors, while ensuring alignment with Basel II/III and IFRS9 standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years in a technical financial or risk role.
• Strong academic background with a quantitative major.
• Professional certification in risk management or related field is desirable but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Lead and implement the model validation framework.
• Validate models across trading, market, credit, pricing and liquidity risk.
• Develop statistical tools in SAS, Python, VBA, or R to analyze model behavior.
• Produce timely validation reports for Senior Management, auditors and compliance.
