About The Role
To lead the marketing team of Noatum Ports and the regional marketing teams at the Ports and Terminals managed by Noatum Ports. in addition, to develop and monitor the marketing strategy and ensure successful execution by directing, leading and guiding the marketing team.
Core Responsibilities:
- Lead the marketing activities of NOATUM PORTS and its portfolio.
- Establish strong partnerships with the executive management team and present the vision, guidance and innovation for all strategic marketing planning.
- Partner with internal stakeholders (AD Ports Group corporate functions and its businesses) to translate their business objectives to measurable marketing goals, steer their annual marketing activities and ensure the marketing resources (budget and people) are available.
- Direct and steer the marketing team to ensure best-in-class delivery of marketing.
- Define the strategic roadmap to market NOATUM PORTS and its portfolio, ensure high levels of brand awareness and market positioning through integrated marketing campaigns and promotional efforts, while leveraging local/international media partnerships.
- Guide the marketing managers to deploy strategies and programmes focused on generating ROI.
- Ensure consistency, conformity and alignment of AD Ports Group brand messages and value propositions communicated across all marketing communications.
- Align with the Corporate Marketing Director on the annual Marketing strategy, KPIs and plans.
- Work closely with the Communications Director to execute fully integrated campaigns and promotional efforts.
- Develop processes and procedures that addresses the requirements of the marketing teams abroad and ensures alignment and compliance with the Group's processes and procedures per functional service level agreements (SLAs), while allowing agility in delivering the marketing efforts in the regions they operate in.
People Management Responsibilities:
- Direct, build and steer the local and regional marketing teams towards achieving set objectives, ensuring personal growth and learning development needs are met.
- Monitor direct reports and holds team members responsible for ensuring marketing deliverables are best-in-class, aligned to the agreed objectives, budgets and timeframes.
- Define and assess annual and quarterly KPIs for the marketing team.
- Counsel and guides the marketing team, carry out annual performance appraisals and addresses capability and disciplinary issues when required.
- Define key roles, develop critical talent, and deliver elevated levels of performance that cultivates a dynamic, results-oriented marketing team as AD Ports Group grows.
Strategic Responsibilities:
- Define and monitor the annual and long-term marketing strategy for NOATUM PORTS and its portfolio.
- Align the marketing activities to NOATUM PORTS's financial, operational, and business objectives.
- Ensure that all activities are consistent with the AD Ports Group brand architecture and positioning.
- Lead the marketing team by providing clear direction, ensuring marketing objectives are consistently translated to functional, integrated marketing efforts that achieve the set objectives.
- Steer the marketing team to (1) Ensure annual and integrated marketing campaigns increase awareness for AD Ports Group and the business offerings; (2) Produce best-in-class integrated marketing services, focusing on generating ROI for NOATUM PORTS and its portfolio.
- Optimize the project management of integrated marketing initiatives, ensure functional, best-in-class delivery against set parameters and incorporate timely communications for project alignment/approval in coordination with the executive management team.
- Act as the expert on the target audience/customer segments, competitors and markets and the latest marketing media trends.
- Monitor and assess through continuous market and competitor research key trends that may impact the organization or its businesses and recommend new, innovative and strategic marketing approaches.
- Assess the accomplishments of conducted campaigns and promotional efforts against KPIs and business ROIs, optimize/recommend changes as required.
- Define and allocate the annual marketing budget with overall accountability for the allocation and disbursement.
- Direct all market research, marketing, production, design, web and digital development, media buying contractual partnerships and agreements, negotiate annual contracts with specialist agencies, both locally and internationally.
- Acts as senior liaison on marketing operations to key government stakeholders/ affiliates and other public and private organizations.
- Stand in as the Deputy for crisis communications and as the lead when the Director of Communications is not available, supporting on planning and managing operational emergencies.
Required Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field and preferably with a Post Graduate qualification.
- Fluency in English is a must.
- Minimum 10 years of experience (8 of them in similar roles).
- Ability to translate marketing strategies into annual plans and integrated promotional activities necessary to persuade, influence, and attract identified target audiences.
- Excellent oral and written communication, analytical, presentation and reporting skills
- Ability to analyze and interpret financial reports and legal documents
- Wide understanding of marketing disciplines
