Senior Manager, Mall Management – Northern Emirates & Community Malls | MAF Properties | Assets Management Business Unit
Role Summary
This role will be mainly responsible for overseeing the assigned mall P&L and day-to-day management and operations, including Mall Presentation, Security, Safety, Cleaning, Engineering, Facilities, and Ambience. The goal is to maintain the highest standards to meet or exceed all tenant and customer requirements in line with the overall business objectives.
Role Profile
- Work with relevant departments to revise the annual business plan for the assigned mall, deliver the targets, monitor performance monthly, and develop action plans to address variances.
- Organize the daily management of the mall to achieve high standards in mall management.
- Coordinate contract work, including preparation and monitoring.
- Maintain strong relationships and communication with tenants, understanding lease terms and encouraging compliance.
- Complete and submit comprehensive monthly mall reports as per business requirements.
- Ensure timely collection of all rentals and other receivables, such as utilities, and prepare monthly reports.
- Manage storage rentals and revenue as applicable.
- Obtain monthly sales reports from tenants and prepare summaries.
- Oversee STR – MPM location, deals, and designs in coordination with the MPM and STR teams.
- Support the Retail Design Management team (RDD) to facilitate smooth shop openings.
- Ensure compliance with SMBU policies, procedures, and guidelines, including health and safety, fire, crisis management, tenant portal, IRO, POS link, etc. Promote sustainability initiatives.
- Introduce new ideas and initiatives to maximize mall revenue and profit.
- Develop relationships with relevant authorities to ensure legal and regulatory compliance.
- Ensure adherence to MAFP SMBU’s Code of Conduct, departmental policies, and HC policies and procedures.
- Provide regular feedback, conduct annual reviews, and identify areas for staff development.
- Manage, guide, and mentor the shopping centre management team, supporting professional development and talent retention.
Requirements
- Minimum 8-10 years of progressive experience in managing shopping centre functions within a dynamic, customer-focused organization, preferably in retail, shopping malls, or communities, with at least 4-6 years in a similar role.
