Senior Manager - Health & Safety | MAF Entertainment | Head Office
ROLE SUMMARY
The role of the Senior Health & Safety Manager is responsible for setting and delivering the health and safety strategy and direction for the MAFE Operational businesses across the region(s). The role is responsible for the development, implementation and continual improvement of the MAFE health and safety management system, MAFE digital platforms and HSE Approved Training Centre.
ROLE PROFILE
- Supports Majid Al Futtaim’s business expansion and objectives efficiently through the highest standards of customer experience, stakeholder management and cost-effective management of resources, maximizing revenue, profitability, and growth of the busin
- Participates in the preparation of Board papers to obtain Board approval for the function that articulates the business goals and investments and develop strategies to enable the achievement of agreed business objectives.
- Ensures the organizations health and safety management system remains compliant with relevant international standards, including; ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001 and ISO 22000 standard and local legal requirements.
- Oversees the planning and deployment of the MAFE HSE audit plan ensuring all key stakeholders are kept updated on MAFE H&S performance.
- Provides periodic updates to the MAFE Senior Leadership (operational Leads for Cinemas, L&E and Country-Heads) keeping all key stakeholders abreast of business safety and health related performance.
- Lead the digital transformation of the department and the operations’ processes i.e., checklist, inspections, audit, incident reporting, digital analysis, etc.
- Lead the digital hub that works as a unified business libraries (policies, procedures, and forms)
- Develop automated analysis tool using statistical outputs and dashboards of the Gateway.
REQUIREMENTS
- At least 10+ years’ professional experience in which at least 5 of them in the management of HSE, a solid understanding of construction and engineering aspects (mechanical & electrical) would be an advantage
- Experience in dealing with mechanical rides operations and yearly inspections is preferrable
- Thorough knowledge of relevant HSEQ, leisure specific and technical international standards and legislation e.g. EN 13814; ISO 45001, 9001, 14001, and 17020.
- University degree or equivalent in a technical discipline Degree/Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety. (NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent)
- Strong problem solver. Uses management information to evaluate issues and is able to show a clear plan of corrective and preventative measures.
- Strong communication skills in English. (Fluent spoken and written Arabic is preferable)
- Willingness to Travel (Regional, with occasional international travel required)
