Job Description
What Does a Senior Manager in Global Markets Sales Do?
- Drive sales and revenue targets by originating client deals and delivering multi-asset Global Markets solutions.
- Build and maintain relationships with key institutional and corporate clients in the MENAT region.
- Provide innovative hedging and investment strategies through derivative and traditional market products.
- Act as a GM product champion across FX, FX Options, Rates, Credit, Equities, Commodities, and Islamic Products.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders including Coverage, Trading, Strategy, Business Management, and Risk.
What Are the Key Responsibilities?
- Initiate and develop relationships with corporate clients to market Global Markets products.
- Structure and price derivative and hedging solutions tailored to client needs.
- Prepare product presentations and market insights for client discussions.
- Ensure proper documentation, internal approvals, and compliance for all transactions.
- Monitor client flows and identify cross-selling opportunities to optimize wallet share.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge on product developments, market regulations, and client trends.
- Collaborate with internal GM desks and support teams to ensure seamless deal execution.
- Participate in client forums, events, and off-site engagements to enhance brand presence.
- Provide reporting and feedback on market activities, sales performance, and client engagement.
What Skills Are Needed for a Global Markets Corporate Sales Role in Abu Dhabi?
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Banking, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Master’s degree (MBA or MSc) or professional certifications (CFA or equivalent) preferred.
Experience:
- 10 to 15 years of experience in Global Markets, with a proven record in Corporate Sales.
- Direct exposure to pricing, risk management, and selling of derivatives and flow products.
- Knowledge of financial regulations and global product compliance.
- Experience working in high-pressure financial environments with strong client portfolios.
Technical and Functional Expertise:
- Proficiency in FX, FXO, Credit, IR Derivatives, Repos, Sukuks, and structured products.
- Familiarity with pricing models, valuation techniques, XVA, and RAROC metrics.
- Solid understanding of client segmentation, especially in Government, GREs, SWFs, and Conglomerates.
- Strong communication and relationship management skills for internal and external engagement.
