Job Purpose

Provide technical leadership, foresight and professional IT advice and information to meet business requirements and guide strategic and operational decision making to the senior management. Platform IT Head will be Strategizing, implementing and communicating IT strategy, infrastructure requirement and implementation, operational plan, policies, procedures, systems and tools, ensuring these are tailored and adapted to suit the realities and needs across all levels of A2MP. He would be responsible for Create and maintain IT strategy in line with internal and external stakeholders needs in keeping up with current best practice in infrastructure development space. Ensure a personalized assistance to users and guarantees the security of the organization information systems and data at each level.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership, foresight and senior management level IT advice and information to meet business requirements and guide strategic and operational decision making to senior management
• Building on, implementing and communicating IT strategy, operational plan, policies, procedures, systems and tools, ensuring these are tailored and adapted to suit the realities and needs across all business platform of A2MP
• To create and maintain IT strategy in line with internal and external stakeholders needs in keeping up with current best practice in infrastructure business
• Defines project requirements by identifying project scope, milestones, phases and control project schedule
• Ensure personalized assistance to users and ensure the security of the A2MP information systems and critical business data
• To develop and implement cost effective and next generation digital IT solutions for platform company
• Supervise day to day operations of IT systems to ensure smooth business continuity
• Prepare and control IT annual budgets, track and comply
• Coach, mentor, motivate, develop, track and supervise IT staff
• Build a strong relationship with suppliers, ensuring contracts and service levels are negotiated within allocated budgets
• To develop and maintain the Business Continuity Plan (BCP) and to implement measures designed to safeguard business continuity in event of major IT incidents
• Work closely with business heads to determine IT systems requirements
• Prepare and implement various IT policies around networks, security, data centre, regulatory compliance, asset mobilization and access level control
• To maintain the high standards of security and data protection, keeping up to date with all relevant legislation and regulation and ensuring that the IT team and A2MP leadership fully understand the implications
• Publish periodic IT status report card for new project activities, milestones achieved, shortfalls, risk, external or internal dependencies
• Focus on ensuring IT systems meet their intended purpose, providing an effective framework to support business and meet their operational requirement
• Participate and contribute in IT systems concepts, methodologies, design, scope, schedule, Implementation strategies and plan
• Understand and implement SAP & Digital Landscape need for business and rollout of various modules / functionality as per business needs and requirement
• Analyse the system utilization, functional deficiencies or any other gaps and work with business to improve systems utilization

Skills & Qualifications

• Proven track record in leading an IT Team (In Metal and Mining industry) large size of Infrastructure development environment and delivering measurable improvements in IT service delivery within tight budget to meet organizational objectives
• Having hands on knowledge about IT Network architecture (Including VSAT, Satellite Data and telephony), passive distribution, server management, information security controls, data center management
• Demonstrable experience of successful project management, particularly including a track record of being able to anticipate and resolve potential problems quickly
• Ability to investigate and understand emerging technologies, digital strategies for user experience and business process automation, explore and evaluate and propose how these may be applied to the benefit of the organization
• Ability to manage technical requirements and articulate to the external service providers, including formal tendering, contract negotiation, management of commissioned work, and ongoing supplier relationship management
• Experience of IT policy framework development and implementation
• Excellent communication skills, Proficiency in French language will be added advantage
• Master’s in computer application or Bachelor of Technology or Bachelor of Engineering or any other relevant information technology professional degree from a reputed institute. Candidate having MBA will be added advantage
