Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Senior ESG & Sustainability Manager to lead the company's sustainability, ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) strategy, and regulatory compliance efforts. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing sustainability frameworks, certifications, ESG ratings (including EcoVadis), and ensuring compliance with ISO standards. This role also oversees SSHEQ (Safety, Security, Health, Environment, and Quality) activities across our Chemical Terminal, Warehouse, and Manufacturing Facilities at various location including Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and India.

• ESG Leadership & Strategy
  Develop, implement, and update AquaChemie’s ESG strategy in line with global standards and stakeholder expectations.
  Drive improvement in ESG performance and reporting across all locations.
  Manage and enhance ESG ratings, including coordination with EcoVadis and similar platforms.
• Sustainability & Compliance
  Oversee compliance with ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 9001 and other relevant standards.
  Liaise with external bodies for sustainability awards, certifications, and industry benchmarking.
  Maintain documentation and ensure timely submission of compliance reports to regulatory authorities and third parties.
• SSHEQ Oversight
  Lead SSHEQ operations for Chemical Terminal, Warehouse & Manufacturing Facility, and extend guidance to teams in Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and India.
  Monitor and improve safety performance, implement preventive safety programs, and conduct audits and inspections.
  Promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility across all business units.
• Stakeholder Engagement & Reporting
  Collaborate with internal departments (Operations, HR, Procurement, Projects) to integrate sustainability goals across functions.
  Prepare and present periodic ESG and SSHEQ performance reports to senior management.
  Lead the preparation of annual sustainability reports in alignment with GRI, SASB, or other global frameworks.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, Sustainability, or a related field.
• 15–18 years of relevant experience in ESG, sustainability, compliance, or SSHEQ, preferably in the chemical or industrial sectors.
• Proven experience managing EcoVadis ratings, ISO certifications, and corporate sustainability programs.
• Strong understanding of local and international environmental and safety regulations.
• Excellent documentation, project management, and stakeholder communication skills.

Skills Preferred:

• Certification in Lead Auditor – ISO 14001/45001/9001.
• Familiarity with GRI, CDP, SASB, TCFD, UN SDGs.
• Experience in multi-site operations with cross-border regulatory knowledge.
• Leadership qualities to drive a team-oriented and compliance-focused culture.
