Job Purpose
This role leads the design and implementation of enterprise architecture strategies that align with EKFC's business goals. It is responsible for driving digital transformation, implementing scalable and secure IT and ERP systems, integrating emerging technologies (e.g., AI, ML, Cloud), and ensuring architectural governance. The role will be instrumental in enhancing IT capabilities, improving operational efficiency, and enabling data-driven decision-making.
Business Unit Purpose
To establish and maintain a unified, strategic enterprise architecture framework that ensures technological alignment across the organisation and enables innovation, scalability, and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the enterprise architecture roadmap in alignment with EKFC's long-term business strategies.
- Lead the design and implementation of secure, scalable, and modular IT and ERP systems, with a focus on Oracle ERP.
- Drive digital transformation initiatives, modernising business processes through cloud, SaaS, automation, and AI/ML technologies.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and provide recommendations that enhance EKFC's IT landscape and business outcomes.
- Define and enforce enterprise-wide architecture standards, governance frameworks, and best practices to ensure system consistency and compliance.
- Facilitate collaboration with stakeholders, business leaders, and external partners to ensure architecture meets strategic and operational requirements.
- Provide architectural oversight and guidance for major IT initiatives and projects, ensuring alignment with the enterprise framework.
- Identify and mitigate architectural risks related to system performance, integration, and security.
- Design and implement cloud-native solutions and manage API integrations to support flexible and scalable system architectures.
- Develop and implement data architecture strategies, including Master Data Management (MDM), to support AI/ML and analytics-driven insights.
Job Context
As part of EKFC's broader digital transformation strategy, this role is critical in leading the architectural vision behind major technology programs, including ERP modernisation, data integration, cloud adoption, and enterprise-scale automation. The Enterprise Architect will play a key role in establishing an architecture review board, ensuring alignment between business functions and IT systems, and maintaining compliance with security, risk, and audit frameworks.
Qualifications & Experience
Education:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Certifications such as TOGAF, Zachman, or equivalent preferred
Experience:
- Minimum of 8 years in IT, with at least 5 years in an enterprise architecture role
- Proven experience in ERP and Oracle system architecture, design, and implementation
Skills & Competencies
- Proficiency in architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, Zachman, or similar, cloud computing, security, and compliance
- Extensive experience with ERP systems, particularly Oracle ERP, including design, implementation, and management.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Ability to design and implement cloud-native solutions.
- Expertise in designing modern multilayered architectures that emphasise modular design and API-based integration.
- Strong skills in data architecture, including data integration, analytics, and reporting. Experience with Master Data Management (MDM) solutions.
- Knowledge of AI and ML technologies and their application in enhancing business processes and decision-making capabilities.
- In-depth understanding of security best practices and regulatory compliance requirements. Ability to implement and maintain security measures.
- Proficiency in using automation tools and scripting languages to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
- Experience in designing and managing APIs to ensure seamless integration between systems and applications.
- Skills in planning, executing, and closing IT projects using methodologies like Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall.
