Senior Manager - Emerging Technologies

Company Profile:

The Senior Manager Emerging Technologies will lead the identification, evaluation, and implementation of cutting-edge technologies to drive innovation and enhance the organization's digital capabilities. This role requires an innovative and strategic thinker with a deep understanding of emerging tech trends and the ability to translate these into strategic initiatives. The focus will be on emerging technologies such as AI, blockchain, IoT, Metaverse, Digital Twins, and advanced analytics to support strategic business objectives and improve operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and execute a strategic roadmap for emerging technologies, aligning with the organization's goals and objectives.
2. Regularly update the roadmap based on technological advancements and business needs.
3. Communicate the roadmap to stakeholders and ensure alignment.
4. Lead the exploration and adoption of emerging technologies to support business transformation and innovation.
5. Conduct research and feasibility studies on emerging technologies.
6. Develop business cases for the adoption of new technologies demonstrating the impact, project plans and timelines.
7. Oversee the implementation of pilot projects and proof-of-concept initiatives to evaluate the feasibility and impact of new technologies.
8. Develop project plans and timelines for pilot projects.
9. Monitor and evaluate the outcomes of pilot projects.
10. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for technology-driven improvements and innovations.
11. Facilitate workshops and brainstorming sessions to generate ideas.
12. Ensure effective communication and coordination between teams.
13. Manage relationships with technology vendors, research institutions, and industry partners to stay abreast of the latest trends and advancements.
14. Negotiate contracts and agreements with vendors and partners.
15. Ensure timely delivery of products and services from vendors.
16. Provide leadership and guidance to a team of technology specialists, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
17. Conduct regular team meetings and performance reviews.
18. Identify and address training and development needs of team members.
19. Monitor and report on the performance and impact of emerging technology initiatives, making data-driven recommendations for improvement.
20. Develop performance metrics and KPIs for technology initiatives.
21. Prepare and present performance reports to stakeholders.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT, with at least 5 years in a leadership role focused on emerging technologies.
3. Proven track record of successfully implementing and managing emerging technology projects.
4. Negotiation and vendor management skills.
