Synopsis

The Senior Manager – Digital Engineering Systems is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving the development, implementation, and optimization of digital platforms supporting Etihad Airways Technical’s engineering and maintenance operations. The role focuses on end-to-end management of the digital ecosystem, with AMOS (Swiss Aviation Software) at its core, ensuring all processes align with Etihad Airways Technical’s digitization strategy. The role ensures that digital engineering ecosystems deliver regulatory compliance with GCAA CARM & CAR 145, improve control, enhance efficiency, strengthen operational stability, and promote financial transparency by leveraging the latest technology trends, innovation strategies, and industry best practices, supporting Etihad Airways’ broader digital transformation journey.

Accountabilities

• Ensure digital engineering systems support compliance with airworthiness regulations and safety management systems.
• Contribute to the digital transformation strategy across Engineering & Maintenance by managing and optimizing digital engineering systems, ensuring seamless integration of Compliance, Efficiency, and Finance modules.
• Identify emerging digital trends (AI, predictive maintenance, blockchain, etc.) for potential integration.
• Manage digital projects, budgets, vendors, and timelines to ensure delivery within scope and quality standards.
• Align AMOS configurations and workflows with industry best practices and regulatory requirements (e.g., EASA, GCAA, FAA).
• Collaborate with Engineering & Maintenance, Finance, Procurement, DTI, and OEMs to align digital strategies.
• Establish effective interfaces within the digital engineering ecosystem for compliance, efficiency, and financial governance.
• Support development of super users, key users, and end-user training programs to ensure adoption and competence.
• Provide regular updates to senior leadership on system performance, risks, and transformation roadmap.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in airline engineering & maintenance.
• Strong analytical and project management skills.
• Experience with project management tools and software, guiding users in implementing digital engineering systems effectively.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to motivate staff.
