Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank in the UAE seeks a senior Data Scientist to lead high-impact ML projects across retail and risk domains. Qualifications

• At least 7 years of experience in data science with AI/ML and cloud deployments.
• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field; master preferred.

In this role, your key responsibilities include:

• To lead the development and adoption of high impact Data Science and Machine Learning projects that drive measurable business outcomes across banking domains such as Retail, CWIBG, risk, credit, operations, etc, translating complex business problems into data science solutions, applying advanced statistical and machine learning techniques, ensuring models are robust, explainable, and fit for production use, providing technical and strategic insights, and working closely with business and technology stakeholders to ensure insights and models are effectively embedded into decision making processes and deliver sustained value.
• Analyse and provide insights on banking products and services for strategic decision-making.
• Leverage Data Science and Machine Learning (ML) to enhance banking processes and digital journeys
• Leads banking Data Science projects to drive business growth and innovation
• Design, develop, and deploy advanced Data Science and Machine Learning models to improve decision-making, efficiency, and risk outcomes across banking operations and customer journeys
• Apply supervised, unsupervised, and time-series modeling techniques to solve complex business problems using structured and semi-structured data
• Lead feature engineering, model selection, training, validation, and benchmarking to ensure robust, explainable, and high-performing models
• Lead structured change interventions (impact assessments, readiness checks, training, and communication plans) to ensure successful deployment and sustainability of data science initiatives.
• Implement approved departmental policies, processes and procedures, and ensure employee adherence so that work is carried out to the required standard while delivering the required standards of service to customers and stakeholders

The ideal candidate should have the following experience:

• At least 7 years of experience in data science, with proven expertise in AI/ML, statistical modeling, and cloud-based deployments, a strong background in banking processes, operations, terminologies, generative AI, and Machine Learning Operations (MLOps), and experience leading cross-functional teams and agile squads while delivering scalable, production-grade solutions in a regulated, data-driven environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field is required, with a master’s degree or equivalent in AI/ML/Data Science preferred.
