Job summary

MAIR Group in the United Arab Emirates seeks a Senior Manager / Data Architect to lead enterprise data platform design using Snowflake and Cortex. You will deliver AI-powered analytics and Power BI dashboards, guiding data strategy and mentoring teams across data engineering and analytics.

You will drive multi-cloud deployments, real-time analytics, governance, and collaborate with retail, supply chain, marketing, and finance to translate requirements into scalable data solutions.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in data engineering, data architecture, or BI with leadership experience.
• Hands-on with Snowflake Data Cloud and Cortex AI features.
• Strong ETL/ELT, data modeling (dimensional/star/snowflake).
• Advanced SQL and Python for data processing and AI integration.
• Enterprise-scale Power BI development and administration.
• Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance.
• Experience in retail or enterprise analytics preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise data architecture design on Snowflake across multi-cloud/hybrid deployments.

Job description

We are seeking a Senior Manager / Data Architect to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise data platforms using Snowflake and Cortex. This role combines advanced data engineering, AI/ML-enabled analytics, and Power BI dashboarding to deliver actionable insights for strategic decision-making.

The ideal candidate will drive data strategy, mentor teams, and ensure modern, scalable, and AI-powered analytics solutions, can bridge technology and business, drive data strategy, and mentor teams in modern data architecture and analytics.

Key Responsibilities

1. 1. Lead enterprise data architecture design on Snowflake, including multi-cloud and hybrid deployments
2. 2. Implement Cortex-powered AI/ML workflows for analytics and operational insights
3. 3. Oversee end-to-end data engineering pipelines (ETL/ELT), ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance
4. 4. Design, develop, and optimize Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions for business stakeholders
5. 5. Collaborate with business units (retail, supply chain, marketing, finance) to translate requirements into AI-driven data solutions
6. 6. Implement data models, semantic layers, and dimensional models to support reporting and analytics
7. 7. Ensure data governance, quality, and compliance across all platforms
8. 8. Mentor and lead a team of data engineers, BI developers, and analysts, driving adoption of best practices
9. 9. Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools, including AI/ML integrations, to improve analytics capabilities
10. 10. Support real-time analytics and AI-driven business insights using Snowflake Cortex

Required Qualifications & Experience

1. 1. 10+ years in data engineering, data architecture, or BI, including 3-5 years in leadership roles
2. 2. Hands-on experience with Snowflake Data Cloud and Cortex AI features
3. 3. Strong expertise in ETL/ELT pipelines, cloud data architecture, and data modeling (dimensional/star/snowflake schemas)
4. 4. Advanced SQL and Python skills for data processing and AI integration
5. 5. Experience with Power BI development and administration at enterprise scale
6. 6. Strong understanding of data governance, security, and compliance standards
7. 7. Experience in retail or enterprise analytics preferred

Preferred Qualifications

1. a) Exposure to AI/ML workflows in analytics and reporting
2. b) Certifications in Snowflake, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), or BI tools
