Title: Senior Manager: Commercial Development

What You'll Do:

As a Senior Manager, Commercial Development, you will be the driving force behind our growth not only in Abu Dhabi but on a global scale.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and Execute Commercialization Strategies: Formulate and implement strategies for transforming technologies from research labs into market-ready products, licenses, or services.
  2. Conduct Market Analysis and Business Case Preparation: Carry out market analysis and prepare comprehensive business cases, which include pricing and commercial strategies.
  3. Identify and Engage Potential Customers: Locate potential customers, present them with tailored proposals, and engage in discussions to establish business relationships.
  4. Close Commercial Deals: Successfully negotiate and finalize commercial agreements with interested parties.
  5. Represent the Company at Industry Events: Act as a representative of the company in various industry events and networking opportunities, enhancing brand visibility and forging new connections.
  6. Collaborate with Research Teams: Maintain a supportive role in working with research teams to understand the technical aspects and potential applications of new technologies.

Candidate Profile:

  1. Exceptional Consulting Experience: Demonstrated expertise in consulting, with a specific focus on technology and digital practices within industrial sectors. A history of working with leading consulting firms.
  2. Engineering Acumen: A strong engineering background, preferably with a degree from a renowned institution, to deeply understand and navigate complex technologies, discerning their market applications and potential pathways to commercialization.
  3. Outstanding Analytical and Strategic Abilities: Exceptional analytical and strategic planning skills, underpinned by a record of high-impact project delivery across diverse sectors. We value candidates who have showcased their ability to solve complex problems and drive strategic initiatives in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.
  4. Leadership in Project Delivery: A proven track record of leading and delivering large-scale projects, demonstrating an ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and drive successful outcomes in line with client expectations and business objectives.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degrees in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical, Electronic, Aerospace, Systems, or Computer Science are sought.
  2. An MBA from a Top 20 business school is a strong plus.
  3. Commercially astute.
  4. Outstanding communication and presentation skills; ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to a diverse range of stakeholders.
  5. Demonstrated learning agility and a deep passion for technologies; essential for understanding and commercializing various cutting-edge technologies from different research domains.
  6. Ability to work collaboratively in a team, demonstrate entrepreneurial spirit, thrive in a start-up work environment, and adapt effectively to ambiguity and dynamic market opportunities.
  7. Fluency in English is mandatory; proficiency in Arabic is a strong plus.
