Overview
G42 is seeking a high-performing Manager, Business Development to help us meet our customer acquisition and revenue growth targets by keeping our company competitive and innovative. You will be responsible for maximizing our sales team potential, crafting sales plans, and justifying those plans to upper management.
You will be responsible for teams working to win new business, explore new avenues of activity, and seek out opportunities to help the company develop and grow. This includes negotiating and agreeing on contracts and verifying employee performance.
Responsibilities
Sales Focused 75%
- Achieve sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for regions and territories, and projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products.
- Implement national/international sales programs by developing field sales action plans.
- Maintain sales volume, product mix, and selling price by monitoring supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, operations, and competitors.
- Establish and adjust selling prices by monitoring costs, competition, and supply and demand.
- Complete national/international sales operational requirements as needed.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Commercial Focused 25%
- Demonstrate good risk management skills as well as financial reporting abilities.
- Provide independent, commercially focused, and solution-driven advice to the Executive General Manager across a broad range of commercial matters.
- Develop and drive commercial strategies to support the achievement of the business plan.
- Draft or review commercial proposals and their analysis.
- Draft, review, and assist in negotiating a broad range of contracts, including project contracts and general corporate documentation.
- Provide strategic advice on business and contract administration.
- Provide commercially driven advice and draft relevant documentation and financial models.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements as appropriate.
- Assist the Finance Department in proactively managing debt recovery matters (accounts receivable as per company policy and procedure).
- Identify and provide new commercial opportunities and advice.
- Provide advice on business improvement projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Science.
- 7-10 years of experience in the service industry selling a wide range of service offerings based on customer needs.
- Deep knowledge of sales planning, including lead generation and stakeholder management.
- Experience using CRM (Customer Relationship Management) systems.
- Strong management and organizational skills.
- Excellent contract negotiation and closure skills.
- Decisiveness and mercantile shrewdness, informed decision-making.
- Good numeracy and analytical skills.
- Attention to detail with a focus on overall targets.
- Ability to multitask effectively.
