Job description

The Senior Manager will lead and execute strategic M&A transactions, advising clients through the deal lifecycle, from opportunity assessment to integration. Key responsibilities include market research, financial analysis, and modelling to drive value creation. The role also supports senior leadership in delivering strategic initiatives, identifying growth opportunities, and driving business transformation. Additionally, the Senior Manager will guide cross-functional teams, provide actionable insights, and ensure the successful execution of complex, high-impact transactions.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities

M&A Strategy and Execution

  • Lead end-to-end M&A advisory for mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and joint ventures, including opportunity assessment, strategic fit analysis, and synergy evaluation.
  • Develop long-term M&A strategies, identify targets, and advise on deal structures and negotiation strategies.
  • Manage all aspects of transaction execution, including due diligence coordination, financial modeling, valuation, and deal documentation.

IPO and Listing Advisory

  • Oversee full-cycle IPO and listing processes (including direct and secondary offerings), from strategic planning to execution.
  • Guide clients through regulatory frameworks, listing requirements, and due diligence across various stock exchanges.
  • Manage preparation of offering materials, liaise with regulators, and advise on pricing, timing, and investor engagement strategies.
  • Support post-listing compliance, governance, and shareholder communications.

Strategic Planning and Business Growth

  • Develop and implement strategic initiatives aligned with long-term business objectives.
  • Identify and assess new growth opportunities, including market expansion, partnerships, and product development.
  • Drive cross-functional execution of strategic projects and ensure alignment with corporate priorities.

Market Intelligence and Competitive Analysis

  • Conduct detailed market research, industry analysis, and competitor benchmarking to inform client strategies and identify acquisition or exit opportunities.
  • Translate data into actionable insights on market dynamics, customer behaviour, and competitive positioning.

Client Engagement and Relationship Management

  • Serve as a strategic advisor to C-suite executives and senior stakeholders, providing guidance on transactions and market developments.
  • Build and maintain trusted client relationships, delivering high-impact presentations and strategic recommendations.

Leadership and Collaboration

  • Lead and mentor junior team members across all phases of deal execution and strategy development.
  • Collaborate with legal, tax, financial, and operational teams to ensure integrated and seamless delivery.
  • Drive internal ideation, strategic discussions, and continuous improvement in advisory capabilities.

Post-Deal Integration and Value Realization

  • Develop post-merger integration strategies to ensure operational alignment and synergy capture.
  • Advise clients on change management and execution to optimize transaction value and long-term success.

Performance Management and Reporting

  • Establish KPIs and success metrics to track the impact of strategic initiatives.
  • Report performance outcomes to leadership with data-driven analysis and recommendations for optimization.

General Accountabilities

  • Identify opportunities for process innovation and service enhancement.
  • Tackle complex business challenges with analytical rigor and strategic foresight to deliver value driven solutions.
  • Uphold company values throughout business practices and utilise sound judgment in decision making.
  • Any other additional duties as may be required by management based on needs of the business.

Position Requirements

  • Minimum 7-10 years of experience in M&A advisory, IPO advisory, listing advisory, corporate finance, investment banking, strategy consulting, corporate strategy with a proven track record of successful transactions.
  • Proven track record of managing and executing strategic initiatives that have contributed to business growth and transformation.

Minimum Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
  • Advanced degree or professional certifications such as CFA, CFP, or similar are preferred.

Skills Attributes

  • Strong expertise in financial modelling, valuation techniques, and due diligence processes.
  • A strong understanding of the listing processes, regulatory requirements, and compliance related to initial public offerings (IPOs) and public company regulations.
  • In-depth knowledge of M&A transaction structures, negotiation tactics, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Strong project management skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple priorities.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, financial modelling tools, and M&A transaction management platforms, as well as experience with business intelligence tools (e.g. Power BI).
