Job summary

KN International Architects and Engineers invites applications for Assistant Resident Engineer (Mechanical/Electrical). You will oversee infrastructure and building services, ensure quality and compliance, and coordinate with contractors on site in Abu Dhabi.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in pumping stations, fluid mechanics, and M&E systems, plus 10+ years in infrastructure projects in the UAE. Strong supervision, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
• Minimum 10 years of experience in infrastructure and building services, preferably within the UAE.
• Experience working with TAQA WS.
• Strong technical expertise in pumping stations, fluid mechanics, and M&E systems.
• Proven experience in construction supervision, quality control, and contract administration.
• Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Resident Engineer in managing M&E infrastructure and building services projects.
• Oversee pumping stations, fluid mechanics, and related systems for compliance with specs and regulations.
• Supervise contractor work, ensure safety, quality, and contract adherence.
• Conduct site inspections and progress monitoring for timely completion.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, and technical queries related to M&E works.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and government authorities.
• Review project documentation including material approvals and shop drawings.
• Identify risks and suggest corrective actions to keep projects efficient.
• Attend weekly and monthly progress meetings with technical input.
• Ensure on-site health, safety, and environmental regulations.
