Job summary

The Greater Change is seeking a versatile Senior AI Systems & Local LLM Engineer to bridge frontier models, smart home automation, and self-hosted AI infrastructure in Dubai. Qualifications

• 3–5 years of software or AI engineering experience with a strong portfolio of deployed production systems.
• Hands-on experience integrating custom components or local LLMs into Home Assistant.
• Rapid development using AI-assisted coding tools to write clean, working code quickly.
• Systems and virtualization experience in Linux environments with Proxmox hypervisors and GPU workloads.
• Strong production-grade Python and Node.js skills.
• Local AI deployment experience with quantization formats and multi-device compute clusters.
• Familiarity with agent orchestration frameworks like Hermes or OpenClaw.

Responsibilities

• Local LLM & Inference Orchestration: Deploy, tune, and maintain self-hosted LLM setups using LMStudio, Exo, vLLM, and Ollama; integrate locally trained weights.
• Agentic Workflows & Avatars: Design autonomous AI agents and real-time voice agents for interactive human-computer interaction.
• Smart Home & Voice Integration: Integrate local AI voice agents and agentic control layers into Home Assistant for low-latency automation.
• Hybrid Model Routing: Build middleware to route queries between local models and frontier APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini).
• Infrastructure & Virtualization: Manage compute nodes with Linux (Ubuntu/Debian) and Proxmox VE; handle GPU passthrough and containers.
• Full-Stack AI Integration: Develop high-concurrency backend services, real-time endpoints (WebSockets/SSE), and API layers (Python/FastAPI, Node.js).
