Job summary

ADNOC Drilling in Abu Dhabi seeks a senior lifting engineer to implement the Lifting Standard and oversee planning, inspection, and certification of lifting equipment in Abu Dhabi.

You will coordinate third party inspections, ensure compliance with work permits and safety analyses, and review lifting plans for routine and non-routine lifts while guiding site teams on integrity practices.

Qualifications

• 7 years hands-on experience in Rig Lifting equipment and inspection in oil & gas, including 5 years in a similar position.
• Adequate experience in Quality Management Systems.
• Fluency in spoken and written English.
• Must be computer literate.

Responsibilities

• Implement ADNOC Lifting Standard in area of authority.
• Promote staff engagement in integrity management practices.
• Ensure lifting equipment integrity and certificates.
• Provide input into inspection strategies and acceptance criteria.
• Coordinate third party inspections and lifting plan reviews.
• Review and approve lifting plans for various lift types and ensure compliance with WMS and safety analyses.
• Coordinate, control, and execute lifts, selecting suitable lifting appliances and accessories.
• Ensure load and soil stability, and maintenance of lifting equipment.
