Job summary

Penspen is seeking a Construction Senior Lifting Operations specialist to lead safe crane and lifting activities on site in Abu Dhabi. You will develop lifting plans, supervise subcontractors, and ensure schedules and safety standards are met across the project.

The role requires a strong engineering degree, 17+ years in oil and gas with offshore experience, and expertise in ASME, OHSA, LOLER regulations plus experience with lifting gear inspection and drawings.

Qualifications

• An Engineering Degree from any recognized university.
• Minimum 17+ years of experience with 5–10 years in oil and gas on similar role.
• Experience in construction, crane management, rigging and heavy lifting.
• Minimum 5+ years offshore experience is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of offshore process and utility systems.
• Certification in Lifting Supervision such as LEEA.
• Strong knowledge of crane SWL, lifting gear maintenance, and lifting regulations.
• Knowledge of international standards like ASME, OSHA and LOLER.
• Ability to review/approve lift plans and procedures and generate lifting procedures when necessary.
• General knowledge in inspecting lifting gear and equipment like cranes, gantry, winches.

A Construction Senior Lifting Operations is a senior site role responsible for leading safe crane and lifting operations, developing lifting plans, and managing subcontractors to meet project schedules and safety standards.

Qualification & Experience Required

• An Engineering Degree from any recognized university.
• Minimum 17+ years of experience in which at least 5-10 years in the oil and gas industry on similar role.
• experience in construction, specifically in crane management, rigging, and heavy lifting.
• Minimum 5+ years of offshore experience is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of offshore process and utility systems.
• Certification in Lifting Supervision such as LEEA.
• Strong knowledge of crane safe working loads (SWL), lifting gear maintenance, and lifting regulations.
• Have an extensive lifting and Rigging International Standards knowledge like ASME, OHSA and LOLER Regulations.
• Must have working knowledge and interpretation skills of lifting drawing and calculations and provide guidance to subcontractors. Capable of reviewing and approving lift plans/studies, rigging & lifting procedures. Also, able to generate project lifting & rigging procedures when necessary.
• Have general knowledge in the inspection of lifting gears and equipment like overhead cranes, gantry, davit arms winches and others.
