Job summary

Big Fish Consult is seeking a Legal Manager (Projects & Construction) in Abu Dhabi to provide strategic legal counsel on major infrastructure initiatives, including EPC contracts and risk allocation. You will advise clients, negotiate terms, and ensure regulatory compliance across GCC markets.

The role demands 5–7 years of construction-law experience, UAE bar membership, and fluency with project-management tools. A dynamic, cross-cultural leader with strong negotiation skills is essential.

Qualifications

• Academic credentials: LLB or JD from a recognised university; an LLM in Construction Law is a strong differentiator.
• Minimum 5–7 years of experience handling construction contracts, dispute resolution, and regulatory compliance; GCC or similar markets preferred.
• Bar membership in a recognised jurisdiction (e.g., UAE Bar) is advantageous.
• Familiarity with project-management software (e.g., Primavera, MS Project) and legal‑tech document review tools.
• Strong negotiation, cross‑cultural communication, and ability to translate legal jargon into actionable business advice.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic legal advisory for large construction projects and programs.
• Lead contract negotiations and risk mitigation strategies across EPC and infrastructure deals.
• Ensure compliance with UAE regulatory frameworks and international contract regimes (FIDIC/NEC).
• Mentor junior counsel and coordinate with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders.
