Job summary

First Abu Dhabi Bank is seeking an experienced lawyer to support the Head of Legal Commercial & Technology, managing legal risk across FAB Group geographies.

The role covers legal advisory, litigation oversight, corporate transactions, and HR matters, with responsibility to coordinate external counsel and ensure compliance with international and local laws.

Strong English, Arabic literacy, and a minimum of seven years in banking or law firms is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in law from an internationally recognised university.
• Master's degree in law.
• UK/USA/Australia or Commonwealth/Western European jurisdiction qualification preferred.
• Excellent English language skills; ability to read/write in Arabic.

Responsibilities

• Provides legal advice and support to FAB Groups corporate acquisitions, divestments, joint-ventures, incorporations, business carve-outs and similar transactions.
• Provides legal advice on corporate law and related matters for FAB Group entities.
• Manages outside counsel on transactions and projects described above.
• Drafts, reviews and negotiates contracts and other legal documents to maximise protections and minimise risk.
