Acwa Power is seeking a senior legal professional to support cross-border M&A and project development in Africa and other regions. You will draft and negotiate key agreements, manage due diligence, and coordinate with internal teams and external counsel.

The role requires dual qualification in common and civil law, 7–9 years PQE, fluency in English and French, and willingness to travel for closings. You will work in a fast-paced, multinational environment in the energy and utilities sectors.

Qualifications

• Qualified in both a common law and a civil law jurisdiction.
• 7–9 years of post-qualification experience in international law firms or in-house teams.
• Fluency in English and French (spoken and written).

Responsabilités

• Draft, review, and negotiate SPAs, shareholders' agreements, joint development agreements, and other key documents.
• Lead due diligence across multiple jurisdictions.
• Coordinate with acquisitions/divestitures, business development, technical, and finance teams to assess legal risks and structures.
• Monitor regulatory compliance in power and water projects.
• Manage external counsel relationships and travel for closings.
