Position Summary

• You will be part of the VEON HQ Legal team as a mid-level lawyer with 6 to 10 years of professional experience.
• Reporting to the Associate General Counsel, you will assist in managing the Group-wide sanctions, export controls, and OFAC compliance programs.
• Location : Dubai

Key Responsibilities

• Providing expertise on sanctions, export controls, and OFAC compliance to legal and business teams.
• Monitoring regulatory changes and disseminating relevant information.
• Assessing risks, adjusting procedures for compliance, and developing training programs.

Critical Skills

• Knowledge in sanctions and export controls, preferably in multinational or listed companies.
• Strong legal, analytical, and business skills; ability to work in a team.
• Capacity to handle sensitive issues in a multicultural environment and build stakeholder relationships.
• Self-motivated, flexible, innovative, and adaptable.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for collaboration at all levels.

Education and Experience

• Qualified lawyer in good standing and / or Master’s Degree in Law.
• 6-10 years of relevant experience, ideally in law firms, corporate legal departments, or regulatory organizations.
