Job description

De Montfort University Dubai is seeking a qualified and experienced individual to join the Faculty of Business and Law as a Senior Lecturer in Marketing Management. This full-time academic role is ideal for a candidate passionate about innovative teaching, research, and student engagement within a UK higher education framework.

As a Senior Lecturer, you will contribute to the development and delivery of a dynamic marketing curriculum that aligns with current industry trends, fosters creativity, and prepares students for success in the global marketplace. This role supports the continued growth of DMU Dubai s business programmes and reflects our commitment to academic excellence and market relevance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach and assess Marketing and Management modules at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
  • Lead on module development, curriculum design, and programme coordination.
  • Deliver engaging content across areas such as:
  • Marketing Management
  • Consumer Behaviour
  • Advertising & PR
  • Market Research & Analytics
  • Social Media Marketing
  • Brand Strategy
  • Green & Sustainable Communication
  • Integrated Marketing Communication
  • Provide academic advising, student supervision, and mentoring.
  • Engage in scholarly and industry-aligned research with potential for publication.
  • Support student recruitment, open days, and community engagement.
  • Contribute to faculty governance, quality assurance processes, and academic administration.
  • Foster inclusive and supportive learning environments aligned with DMU values.

Candidate Requirements

Qualifications:

  • A Ph.D. or DBA in Marketing or a related field (Required; UK degrees preferred).
  • All qualifications must be attested by the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) or eligible for attestation.

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 6 years of full-time teaching experience in higher education, preferably within the UK system (Required).
  • Proven ability to teach across multiple Marketing and Management subjects (Required).
  • Experience in curriculum development, module leadership, and programme innovation (Required).
  • Track record or pipeline of research with potential for publication in international journals (Required).
  • Experience mentoring students and creating industry engagement opportunities (Required).
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, inclusion, and academic excellence (Required).

Skills & Attributes:

  • Strong communication, presentation, and organisational skills (Required).
  • Ability to lead and collaborate within cross-functional academic teams (Required).
