Company Description

Fairmont The Palm is a luxury resort located on Palm Jumeirah Island in Dubai. The hotel features 391 rooms and suites, including Fairmont Gold rooms and lounge, with 11 dining outlets offering international cuisine, including Michelin Guide recommended restaurants. Amenities include a pool, beach area, health club, Serenity Spa, and a kids' club.

Job Responsibilities:

• Issue uniforms and linens to staff, maintaining inventory and controlling movement of linens and uniforms.
• Follow all safety, security, and company policies.
• Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; complete safety training.
• Ensure linens and uniforms are clean and in good condition.
• Conduct quarterly inventory of linens and uniforms; weekly inventory of laundry supplies.
• Report faulty equipment and safety hazards; assist in maintenance coordination.
• Train staff on laundry procedures and safety.
• Verify completion of laundry requests; operate laundry machinery.
• Inspect linens for damage; assist in hiring, training, and evaluating staff.
• Prepare production reports, manage payroll and overtime.
• Coordinate with suppliers and contractors; report guest laundry discrepancies.
• Ensure guest laundry quality meets standards; handle guest laundry requests and deliveries.
• Update laundry tracking; communicate with suppliers regarding deliveries and balances.
• Schedule uniform measurements and requests; follow SOPs and standard procedures.
• Perform other assigned tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years experience in Uniform and Laundry Operations.
• Knowledge of Housekeeping operations, laundry chemicals, and equipment.
• Proficient in Excel, Microsoft Office, Birch Street, Opera, and Micros.
• Good communication skills; able to handle pressure.
