Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of software, API, or platform engineering experience.
• Minimum 5 years hands-on Kong Gateway or Kong Konnect experience required.
• Proficiency in at least one of JavaScript, Go, or Python; Lua is a plus.
• Strong REST API knowledge and OpenAPI specs.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Develop, configure, and support Kong Gateway Enterprise and Kong Konnect.
• Build secure, reusable APIs and integration flows across banking platforms, channels, and payment systems.
• Implement API security: OAuth 2.0, OIDC, JWT, and mutual TLS (mTLS).
• Apply OWASP API Security controls.
• Automate deployments using Git, CI/CD, decK, and Terraform.
• Set up monitoring and observability for the API platform.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
• Maintain API specifications, runbooks, and Developer Portal content.
