Job summary

SEHA in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Senior IT Health Informatics Officer to lead clinical application optimization, EMR adoption, and workflow enhancements across our facilities.

You will collaborate with clinicians, operations, and vendors to deliver secure and efficient healthcare technology, oversee project delivery, and drive transformation initiatives in line with SEHA's digital strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Clinical/Health Informatics or related field.
• 6–8 years in Hospital Information Systems support; Oracle Cerner preferred; Epic an advantage.
• 2+ years supervisory or team leadership experience.

Role: Senior IT Health Informatics Officer

SEHA is one of the UAE’s largest healthcare networks, delivering advanced clinical care supported by robust digital and informatics systems. We are seeking an experienced Senior IT Health Informatics Officer to support and enhance clinical healthcare applications across SEHA facilities.

Role Overview

The Senior IT Health Informatics Officer will lead clinical application optimization, EMR adoption, workflow enhancement, and system integration initiatives across SEHA entities. The role works closely with clinicians, operational teams, and vendors to ensure high‑quality, secure, and efficient healthcare technology delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support healthcare IT projects, application enhancements, and system optimization.


• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert for EMR and clinical information systems.


• Collaborate with clinicians, operations, and vendors to improve workflows and outcomes.


• Manage application configurations, testing, troubleshooting, and change management.


• Support clinical transformation, analytics, and benefits‑realization initiatives.


• Ensure system security, access management, compliance, and audit readiness.


• Participate in training development, user adoption programs, and system upgrades.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Clinical Informatics, Health Informatics, or related field.


• 6–8 years of experience supporting Hospital Information Systems (Oracle Health Cerner preferred; Epic is an advantage).


• Minimum 2 years of supervisory or team leadership experience.


• Strong knowledge of healthcare applications, project management, and process improvement.


• Experience with Oracle Health PowerChart, FirstNet, RadNet, PharmNet, Anaesthesia solutions.


• PMP, Prince2, ITIL certifications are an advantage.


• Middle East experience preferred; bilingual English/Arabic is an advantage.
