Job summary

Rakbank is seeking an AVP – IT Audit to lead risk-based IT audits, provide assurance, and identify technology risks under IT Audit leadership. Their remit includes AU design and annual audit planning, and building effective relationships across bank teams.

Competencies cover IT and Cybersecurity controls, resilience, continuity, and emerging tech such as Blockchain and AI. The role requires planning, budgeting, and end-to-end delivery, with mentoring responsibilities and strong communication

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Accounting, or other related fields.
• Industry certifications such as CISA, CISSP, CRISC, CIA, CCSP, AAIA, ISO42001.
• 10–12 years of experience in Audit or Information Security within Banking/Financial institutions.
• Knowledge of local laws, regulations, and IIA standards.
• Experience liaising with senior stakeholders and leading audit plans.
• Ability to deliver annual audit plans and complex risk commentary.

Responsibilities

• Take a lead role in planning and executing technology audits end-to-end.
• Assess material gaps and maintain strong auditee relationships.
• Lead project management, delegation and mentoring within the team.
• Communicate complex findings clearly to executives; use visuals to aid messaging.
• Contribute to AU design and annual audit planning; close audit actions.
• Support transformation initiatives and new testing strategies including AI/data analytics.
